Knowledge of CPC
Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) plays an important role in the aluminum industry. And it is the key raw material of anode in the electrolysis process. CPC is a natural heterogeneous material, which comes from green petroleum coke (GPC), a byproduct of the refining process.
Application of CPC
The strength, density, and size of CPC also make it ideal for the production of aluminum, graphite electrodes, steel, and titanium dioxide. CPC is mainly used to produce anode in the aluminum smelting process. 70% to 80% of CPC is used in the aluminum industry. The reason for use in the aluminum industry is conductivity. Another use of our CPC is TiO2 production, which accounts for about 15% of CPC consumption.

Special Note for CPC
The factory produces and consumes a large number of anodes. The same anode quality is crucial for maintaining stable aluminum smelter operation. Although all anode plants use the same basic process to produce anodes, differences in the process and equipment will affect the quality of anodes. Interruptions of raw material supply and inconstancy of CPC quality will disrupt smelting operations and reduce profits. New supply and quality constraints may affect the development of the plant.
