Graphitization: graphitization is the process of roasting products in the graphitization furnace maintenance medium heated to high temperature, so that the hexagonal carbon atom plane grid from two-dimensional space disordered overlap to three-dimensional space ordered overlap, and has a graphite structure of high temperature heat treatment process.
The graphitization process is a high-temperature heat treatment process in which the carbon electrode; is heated to more than 2200℃ in a protective medium in a high-temperature electric furnace so that amorphous layer structure carbon crystallization into three-dimensional ordered graphite crystals.
The purpose:
(l) Enhance the thermal and electrical conductivity of the carbon electrode;
(2) Improve the thermal shock resistance and chemical stability of carbon electrodes;
(3) The surface of the carbon electrode will be lubricated and wear-resistant;
(4) Eliminate impurities and improve the purity of carbon electrodes.
