The packaging is mainly designed to protect the electrodes from external damage.

Some of the graphite electrode packs separate the electrodes and joints in different wooden boxes; while others may connect the joints at one end of the electrode and deliver them to the customer.

You can see some graphite electrodes wrapped in stalks, or on boards. These are known as grass rope packaging and wooden box packaging to better protect them from damage during electrode storage and delivery, especially the integrity of the threaded parts and end surfaces.

Delivery and storage of the graphite electrodes

After debugging and packaging, it can be stored or delivered to customers using the graphite electrode. In the storage and transportation process of the graphite electrodes, the integrity of the graphite electrode joint and thread must also be protected to avoid their damage.

1. Graphite electrode tilt should be avoided when lifting or moving the electrode, as the tilt may lead to the sliding or descent of the graphite electrode.

2. In order to ensure that the end surface and the electrode thread are not damaged, do not use an iron hook to connect the electrode hole at both ends of the lifting electrode.

3. When removing the wooden nipple box, handle it carefully to avoid nipple collision and thread damage.

4. Please do not pile the electrodes and nipples directly on the ground, on a wooden tray or iron pat, so that the electrodes do not collide with each other or clay. For electrodes and nipple can be used for a long time, do not remove the packaging, to ensure that dust and other impurities do not fall on the thread or electrode hole.

5. Electrodes should be stacked in an orderly manner and fixed with gaskets on both sides to avoid sliding. The height of the pile shall not exceed 2 meters.

6. Ensure that the electrodes are not wet and damp during storage. If the electrode is wet, dry before use, otherwise it may crack or oxidized during steel making.

7. When storing the nipples, prevent high temperature corrosion, because high temperature may cause the nipple needle to melt.
